The famous Round Door, a one-of-a-kind piece of automotive art

The Rolls-Royce Phantom I, which later became famous as the ‘Round Door’, was built in 1925 with a standard Hooper Cabriolet body.

For several years the car never left England and was resold, still nearly new, in 1934. The new owner sent it to Belgium, to the Jonckheere coachbuilding house, to have it rebodied as the fashionable Aerodynamic Coupe of the era.
